Kenneth Stuart Rader, 60, of the 300 block of Travis Lane was arrested on Friday, Oct. 18.
The charges come following an investigation into a CyberTipline report of child pornography on Discord.
Rader's e-mail address and IP address were found to be connected to the offending Discord user, the police explained.
"Rader confirmed that he was the user of the e-mail address obtained and that he had a Discord account, though he claimed he only used it occasionally," the police wrote in the release.
A search warrant of his home led to the seizure and subsequent analysis of electronics found at the residence, on Thursday, Aug. 29, according to the police. His electronics were found to contain videos of child pornography, images of child pornography, images of nude children under 18 years of age, and an image depicting child pornography, with the child being under ten years of age, the police detailed in the release.
He was charged with three felonies each of Child Pornography and Criminal Use Of Communication Facility, according to the police and confirmed by court documents.
His preliminary arraignment was held before Magisterial District Judge Courtney M. Monson on the day of his arrest. He has been held in the Lancaster County Prison on $15,000 in bail.
His preliminary hearing is set before Judge Monson at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29.
